My teacher called me this morning. It is about the e-mail I wrote to her the day before yesterday. The reason I wrote to her is I want to get the advice about graduate school from her. But, she didn't tell me her opinion about which graduate school I should choose. "You know yuki, it is really hard for me to tell." I know, it is truly hard, because this decision might have an effect on my future. Besides, a great amount of money is involed in this matter. Obviously, it is hard for her to tell. Anyway, I bought a new schedule book last week. I choosed a simple and thick one as usual and insert my favorite card in the cover. If my memory is correct, I bought this card in the winter of my sophomore, just before I decided to go to China for my one year study. It was a tough decision, because it was the first time for me diverging from established "road". I just felt some fear of getting behind in all of things which most of people at my age supposed to do. I couldn't graduate with my friend, although we entered the college together. I couldn't have job when they have. The fear arose from those idea made me unenthusiastic about studying abroad, although it had been one of my dreams. It was this card who saved me that time. "If you don't do that now, when will you do? If you don't take a step forward now, so when will you take?" Need less to day, after that, I went to China. And the experiences I got from that one year study in China added another choise to my life, that is, going to America. I will bring this card with my schedule book to America. I believe that it would give me power when I lose my confident and open out other possibilities for me. #

Gelato, Cakes, Pudding, Parfait. Those are the desserts I ate these days, or more specifically, in two days. I think many people, expecially girls, would understand my doings accompanied by an uncontrollable impulse, that is, I want eat sweets!! with no reason. Thanks to some of my friends who have sweet tooth, I could share the delicious time eating delicious sweets with them. Comparing with eating something alone, eating with friends could make the foods testire. Michigan stateかSyracuseか。 I am very happy with myself these days. Possitive thinking is not something hard for me to have. The reason is, I suppose, my future becomes more clear. "Going to America" becomes more relalistic for me. So, there is no time and energy to consider other troubles which make me easily fall into negative thinking. I read some blogs of Japanese oversee students. Fortunatelly, I could find the blogs of students studying in Syracuse and Michigan State University. Their lives seem very hard and busy, but their situation which I can know from their blogs actually give me a sort of motivation. After I read their stories, I made sure what I really have to do from now.( and this is why I am trying to write my diary in English.) It's the time for me to put my mind back to the place where it should be. I am going to brush up my English and make the plan about my near future. Because I will sacrifice somethings for study abroad, I want to make it as fruitful as possible. Finally, my roughly one month vacation are going to finish. #

「May I extend a warm welcom to you as a graduate student in XX University. We are processing your papers as rapidly as possible, ・・・.」 "extend"=延長?,"we are processing your paper"=まだ私の書類を審査中?

『Desperado』 Desperado, why don't you come to your senses? You been out ridin' fences for so long now Oh, you're a hard one I know that you got your reasons These things that are pleasin' you Can hurt you somehow Don't you draw the queen of diamonds, boy She'll beat you if she's able You know the queen of hearts is always your best bet Now it seems to me, some fine things Have been laid upon your table But you only want the ones that you can't get Desperado, oh, you ain't gettin' no younger Your pain and your hunger, they're drivin' you home And freedom, oh freedom well, that's just some people talkin' You're prisoner walking through this world all alone Don't your feet get cold in the winter time? The sky won't snow and the sun won't shine It's hard to tell the night time from the day You're losin' all your highs and lows Ain't it funny how the feeling goes away? Desperado, why don't you come to your senses? Come down from your fences, open the gate It may be rainin', but there's a rainbow above you You better let somebody love you, before it's too late
